Architect
The Architect is a character in Ghostrunner, being the Ghostrunner's primary guide, as well as the final antagonist. He is initially referred to as "Whisper" before his identity is revealed. The Architect is a digital copy of Adam loaded into Cybervoid, and believes himself to be Adam, not considering his "former body" a separate individual to himself.
He is voiced by Mark Dodson.[1]
History
First encounter with the "Whisper"
After numerous failed attempts, the Architect was created in 2235, 79 years after the cataclysm, by Adam. In the same year, Adam was killed by Mara, and the Architect was imprisoned in the Base District.
The Architect takes on Adam's appearance
After 20 years in prison, the Architect is freed by the Ghostrunner. The Architect sets the Ghostrunner's goal - death of Mara the Keymaster - and guides him through the tower while helping access cybervoid-related structures. After the Ghostrunner defeats Mara, the Architect decides that he has outlived his usefulness, and attempts to take control of his body. However, the Ghostrunner resists, and manages to delete the Architect, shutting down the cybervoid and "dying".
