Ghostrunners in the Cybervoid

Ghostrunners:

Ghostrunners are artificially grown cyborgs developed by Adam and Mara. Starting out as a military contract before The Burst, there were 100 Ghostrunners in the original line. The protagonist of both Ghostrunner games, Jack, or GR-74, is also a Ghostrunner.

Appearance:

The Ghostrunners were, as described by The Architect, 'a perfect combination of code and flesh'. They were sleek and ninja-like in design and capability. Despite no appearances of other Ghostrunners aside from Jack, it can be assumed that the original line of Ghostrunners were all identical to him in appearance.

Events of Ghostrunner:

Before the main line of Ghostrunners were produced, there were 4 special models, built mostly as experiments. Those are: Mitra, the first Ghostrunner, created from Gyges, a man who stole something important from Adam, Ahriman, Madhu and Rahu. They are known as the Asura. They weren't perfect servants, since they could think freely. They became rebels, and were hunted down by the new models. Mitra was deactivated and hidden, Madhu was banished outside the tower, Ahriman was rewarded for his loyalty, and Rahu was dismembered, his head kept in Adam's office. Later, after Adam's death, Madhu managed to retrieve Rahu's head.

All 100 of the original Ghostrunners were taken offline by Mara during her take-over, and almost all were destroyed following this, with GR-74 being the only known survivor, though several more are unaccounted for according to The Architect. With the destruction of Hel, and GR-74's unknown status, there are no confirmed living Ghostrunners at the end of the game.

Abilities:

The Ghostrunners served as peacekeepers for the residents of Dharma City, and elite bodyguards for Adam and Mara. As biomechanical cyborgs, The Ghostrunners were highly skilled for the purposes they were built to serve.

Enhanced Physiology: As a result of being Artificial Cyborgs, The Ghostrunners physical limits are beyond any normal human and likely have supernatural abilities.

Techniques

Varied Unique Abilities: According to The Architect, while all the Ghostrunners were equal in creation, they did not carry the same abilities as each other. Meaning that while many of the Ghostrunners had unique abilities, others, like Jack, were created with none.
