Basic gameplay
The goal of the game is to progress through the levels while avoiding death, completing platforming challenges and killing enemies. The only physical weapon at your disposal throughout the game is a katana with an instant swing and close range. Your abilities include sliding, wallrunning, dashing, grappling to points, Sensory Boost, and the four unlockable abilities that you gain from progressing in the game. There are 12 different basic enemies: Keys, Triggers, Sluggers, Enforcers, Mechs, Drones, Wardens, Snipers, Sentries, Wrecks, Shifters, and Splitters. Both enemies and you are all killed in one hit. The enemies become increasingly difficult as you progress. You beat the game after defeating the final boss.

Tips and tricks
- Sensory Boost is the key to avoid most enemies' attacks. It is especially effective in avoiding Keys' bullets, Enforcers' shields, Mechs' laser waves when close up.
- Splitters create clones when you come close to one. However, only the main Splitter can actually hurt you.
- The main Splitter in the group is highlighted during sensory boost.
- Use sensory boost to help you in landing jumps on both walls and floor.
- There is no limit to how long you can wallrun for, and most enemies will generally fail to shoot you on walls, so don't be afraid to jump onto nearby wall if you need to take a break or examine your surroundings. However, be vary of Sluggers, as they will easily hit you on walls.
- All walls are wallrunable. There are exceptions, but those are few and pretty obvious.
- Blink, Tempest, Surge are more effective when used on groups.
- All ultimate abilities ignore all shields.
- Each equipped upgrade decreases energy recharge rate, resulting in longer ability cooldowns.
- Use blink to take down the most dangerous enemy if it is shielded.
- Use surge to take down multiple enemies in a straight line, or enemies that are way too out of reach. Surge's range is quite far.
- Use overlord on the most effective enemies in the room. Generally, Enforcers are the best option, but you can also use it on Mechs or Shifters.
- Overlord on Sentries in incredibly effective. Generally this advice helps in hard mode, with harder enemies and tougher placement.
- Never use overlord on Keys, Triggers, Wardens. For unknown reason they will not shoot their comrades, just standing and staring at you instead.
- Tempest, when colliding with a projectile, sends it in the way you're looking, allowing to return projectiles back to enemies.
- Tempest is the best ability to kill Wrecks.
- In the later levels you will come across Wrecks. They are not required to kill to progress through levels, so just focus on avoiding them whenever possible.
- Don't be afraid to die many times or experiment with different abilities or routes.
